SUMMARY:Grand Site Clean Up Volunteer Day
DESCRIPTION:Join the Friends of Talbot Islands State Parks and Timucuan Parks Foundation in a morning of outdoor trail work and vegetation clearing to help protect a one-of-a-kind cultural gem\, the Timucuan Indian Grand Site shell ring on Big Talbot Island State Park. Friends of Talbot Islands will hold their Annual Meeting\, giving everyone a chance to hear about all of the opportunities to assist our parks and rangers. You will be among the first to hear about upcoming enhancements to the Grand Site and how you can be a part! \nThis is a project for volunteers 18 and older\, and preregistration is required at this link. \nWEAR long pants\, long sleeves\, and sturdy shoes such as hiking boots or rubber rain boots. \nBRING a water bottle\, insect repellent\, and sunscreen. Also loppers\, clippers or garden gloves if you have them. \nMEET on the south end of Big Talbot Island at the Wayside parking area along State Rd.
