SUMMARY:Duval Audubon Society Bird Hike
DESCRIPTION:This year Duval Audubon is leading monthly walks for novice birders at the Timucuan Ecological and Historic Preserve. Of course experienced birders are welcome too! \nWe should see migrant warblers\, vireos and possibly painted buntings. The walking is easy\, a wide trail through maritime hammock to an observation deck overlooking Round Pond marsh and tidal creeks in the area. This is a great field trip for beginning birders as well as long timers. \nParticipants are limited so registration is required. Please RSVP at our Meetup Group https://www.meetup.com/Duval-Audubon-Society/ You will also need to sign in at the Fort Caroline National Memorial’s Visitor’s Center first\, then meet the group in the parking lot. We will carpool and drive to Theodore Roosevelt Area from there. Notify the rangers if you need to borrow bincoluars. \nMeet at 9:45 am at: Fort Caroline National Memorial\, 12713 Fort Caroline Rd\, Jacksonville\, FL 32225.
