SUMMARY:International Coastal Cleanup
DESCRIPTION:Timucuan Parks Foundation will be leading three cleanups for International Coastal Cleanup Day on Saturday\, Sept. 21. Come out and help us clean up the shoreline and remove litter from the parks and preserves from 8-10 a.m. or 9-11 a.m. \n\n\n\n\nFort Caroline National Memorial (12713 Fort Caroline Rd.) – 9:00-11:00 AM\n\n\n\nKathryn Abbey Hanna Park (500 Wonderwood Dr.) – NOTE EARLIER TIME OF 8:00-10:00 AM\n\n\n\nReddie Point Preserve (4499 Yachtsman Way) – NOTE EARLIER TIME OF 8:00-10:00 AM\n\n\n\n\nYou should wear closed-toe shoes and clothes you do not mind getting dirty. Please bring work gloves if you have them and a reusable water bottle. TPF will have additional gloves\, trash bags and supplies and will also provide additional water to refill bottles as well as snacks. \n\n\n\nVolunteers of all ages are welcome\, but those under eighteen must have a waiver signed by a parent or guardian. A parent\, guardian or scout leader must accompany children under sixteen. Volunteers are eligible for community service hours. Waivers can be found at  https://www.timucuanparks.org/volunteer/ or contact TPF at info@timucuanparks.org. \n\n\n\nInternational Coastal Cleanup Day was created to raise awareness of growing pollution in the waterways and its impact on the planet.

DESCRIPTION:** THIS EVENT IS CANCELED DUE TO EFFECTS FROM HURRICANE HELENE ** \n\n\n\nJoin the Friends of Talbot Islands State Parks for the 5th Annual Talbot Tidewater Celebration on Saturday\, Sept. 28. The event\, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.\, is at The Ribault Club\, 11241 Ft. George Rd. on Ft. George Island. It is a day filled with the islands’ rich Timucuan history\, natural beauty\, and abundant recreational opportunities. Many games\, exhibits\, and educational opportunities are planned for the day\, including the Junior Ranger Angler Fishing Clinic (registration will be required).
