DESCRIPTION:Meet us at Kathryn Abbey Hanna Park at 500 Wonderwood Drive to install posts and ropes for dune protection. Let the gate attendant know you are there for the Timucuan Parks Foundation volunteer event for free admission. \n\n\n\nWear closed-toe shoes and clothes that can get dirty are recommended. Please bring a reusable water bottle\, sunscreen\, work gloves (if you have them) and whatever else may be needed to be comfortable during the volunteer event. We will provide equipment for maintenance and trash collection\, along with additional water to refill bottles. \n\n\n\nParticipants of all ages are welcome. Those under eighteen must have a waiver signed by a parent or guardian\, and a parent\, guardian or scout leader must accompany children under sixteen. Waivers can be found here. Volunteers are eligible for community service hours.

SUMMARY:Cleanup at Fort George Inlet
DESCRIPTION:Timucuan Parks Foundation\, in partnership with Florida State Parks\, will host a cleanup along the beach at Little Talbot Island State Park on Wednesday\, Oct. 23. From 9 a.m. until 12 p.m.\, volunteers are needed at Fort George Inlet to pick up litter along the shoreline\, in the parking lot and in and around the jetty rocks on the beach. \n\n\n\nVolunteers should meet at the parking lot on the south end of Little Talbot Island\, just north of the Fort George River bridge. Helpers should dress comfortably for the cleanup. Closed-toe shoes and clothes that can get dirty are recommended. Please bring a reusable water bottle\, sunscreen\, and whatever else may be needed to be comfortable on the beach like a hat and sunglasses. TPF and Florida State Parks will provide buckets and litter sticks to help with trash collection\, along with additional water to refill bottles. \n\n\n\nParticipants of all ages are welcome. Those under eighteen must have a waiver signed by a parent or guardian\, and a parent\, guardian or scout leader must accompany children under sixteen. Waivers can be found here. SUMMARY:Kingsley Plantation Garden Maintenance
DESCRIPTION:Volunteers can join us on Sunday\, Oct. 27\, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. to help to clean up the historic garden at Kingsley Plantation. Please wear closed-toe shoes\, clothes you don’t mind getting dirty and a hat. Bring work gloves (if you have them)\, sunscreen\, insect repellent\, and a full reusable water bottle. TPF will provide additional water\, snacks\, work equipment\, and insect repellent. \n\n\n\nStudents can earn community service hours. Children under 16 must be supervised by their parent/guardian or scout leader. Anyone under 18 years old must have a parent/guardian’s signature on the liability waiver before starting work.
