Bring work gloves if you have them\, sunscreen\, insect repellent and a full reusable water bottle. TPF will provide additional water\, snacks\, work equipment\, and insect repellent. \n\n\n\nStudents can earn community service hours. Children under 16 must be supervised by their parent/guardian or scout leader. Anyone under 18 years old must have a parent/guardian’s signature on the liability waiver before starting work. SUMMARY:7 Creeks Fest
DESCRIPTION:Join us Saturday\, March 8\, for the fourth annual 7 Creeks Fest\, a celebration of Jacksonville’s expansive 7 Creeks Recreation Area. The free\, family-friendly event is from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and includes activities in multiple parks that comprise the 7 Creeks Recreation Area\, spanning more than 30 miles of trails and waterways. Timucuan Parks Foundation\, the City of Jacksonville\, Florida State Parks\, North Florida Land Trust\, and Visit Jacksonville partner each year to host activities throughout the parks to showcase the 7 Creeks Recreation Area to the community and lead an exploration of the natural spaces.   \n\n\n\nAll activities are free and open to the public. Visitors can check in at the Fest Welcome Hub at Betz-Tiger Point Preserve at 13990 Pumpkin Hill Rd. and then choose an adventure. There will be guided hikes\, birding hikes\, native plant hikes\, archaeological hikes\, a Hike into History at Cedar Point\, kayaking in Pumpkin Hill Creek\, canoeing at Cedar Point boat ramp\, a camping clinic\, and dip netting. Explore Bogey Creek Preserve and take a selfie at its selfie stations. There will also be a youth fishing clinic for ages 6 to 17 (registration will be required)\, environmental exhibitors\, live music\, food trucks and more. Click here for more details. \n\n\n\nThe 7 Creeks Recreation Area is 5\,600 acres of contiguous parklands in northeast Jacksonville. It includes Betz-Tiger Point Preserve\, Cedar Point Preserve\, Cedar Point\, Jim Wingate Preserve\, Bogey Creek Preserve\, Pescatello Island and Pumpkin Hill Creek Preserve State Park. The 7 Creeks Recreation was made possible by the partnership of park agencies and supportive nonprofits working together to expand access and recreational opportunities for park visitors.

SUMMARY:St. Johns River Cleanup and Celebration
DESCRIPTION:Timucuan Parks Foundation will be leading cleanups for the St. Johns River Cleanup and Celebration organized by the City of Jacksonville and Keep Jacksonville Beautiful on Saturday\, March 15. Volunteers will be removing litter and debris from area parks\, boat ramps and neighborhoods around the city. \n\n\n\nCleanups will be from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Kathryn Abbey Hanna Park at 500 Wonderwood Drive and Reddie Point Preserve at 4499 Yachtsman Way. Volunteers for Hanna Park should mention at the entry gate they are cleanup volunteers in order to be admitted free. \n\n\n\nAll volunteers are asked to wear closed-toe shoes and clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty.
