We’re the nonprofit dedicated to preserving, promoting, and enhancing Jacksonville’s natural areas through community engagement, education and enjoyment. We are committed to connecting our community to the wilderness parks and preserves of the Greater Jacksonville Area by providing enriching experiences and protecting these natural and historic spaces for generations to come.

Winding trails, scenic vistas, nature preserves and family-friendly wilderness parks are found throughout Jacksonville, most within a half-hour drive from downtown. We are here to help you experience these natural and cultural gems spread over 86,000 expansive acres that make up one of the largest urban park systems in America.
675 volunteers contributed 6,431 volunteer hours on TPF initiatives to steward the wilderness parks and preserves
Facilitated access for 4,676 community members through outdoor recreational and environmental stewardship activities, focusing on historically underrepresented communities, at 51 parks and preserves
Presented at community outreach events and speaking engagements to community organizations
Provided funding to park partners and community organizations
The history of our parks began with more than 10,000 years of human habitation by the indigenous Timucua people, long before French and Spanish explorers reached the First Coast. With your support, these same parks and preserves will endure and provide future generations the opportunity to enjoy the same beautiful spaces we treasure today.
