Tillie K. Fowler Regional Park, located on Jacksonville’s Westside, is one of the city’s many oases where the community can enjoy and recreate in nature. Named for the late U.S. Representative, the park features several miles of hiking and off-road biking trails, playgrounds, picnic area, a dog park, restrooms, and parking. Visitors can stop in at the nature center at the Tower Trail trailhead, enjoy an overhead view of the marsh from the observation tower at the trail’s end, discover a historic brick road, and go on other adventures within this park.

A separate kayak launch parking area is available at 4882 Timuquana Rd. The tidal creek gets too shallow to use the launch at low tide, so plan trips accordingly.
