Timucuan Parks Foundation received the City of Jacksonville Environmental Protection Board “2018 Environmental Achievement Award” in the Community/Civic category.

Timucuan Parks Foundation is one of 11 nonprofits to receive Public Lands Hero Award at Public Lands Alliance National Convention in honor of volunteer efforts related to Hurricane Irma.

2016

Board Chair Barbara Goodman received the City of Jacksonville Environmental Protection Board “Charles E. Bennett Champion of the Environment Award.”

2015

Timucuan Parks Foundation received the Historic Preservation Award from the City of Jacksonville and The Jacksonville Historic Preservation Commission for the exhibit “Uncovering the Past: New Archeological Discoveries of Northeast Florida.”

Program and Outreach Director Felicia Boyd received the City of Jacksonville Environmental Protection Board “Christi P. Veleta Environmental Award.”

Board Member Warren Anderson received the City of Jacksonville Environmental Protection Board “Charles E. Bennett Champion of the Environmental Award.”

Mark Middlebrook appointed:

  • by Mayor Alvin Brown to Mayor’s Task Force on Dredging of St. Johns River, Port of Jacksonville.
  • by Governor Scott to state Acquisition and Restoration Council.

Mark Middlebrook received the “Charles E. Bennett Champion of the Environment Award” from the City of Jacksonville Environmental Protection Board.

2009

Timucuan Parks Foundation received the Historic Preservation Award from the City of Jacksonville and The Jacksonville Historic Preservation Commission for the “Archeological Project at the Betz-Tiger Point Preserve.”

2008

Director Mark Middlebrook received “Mayor Peyton’s Environmental Award” at Mayor Peyton’s Award Luncheon.

2006

The Trust for Public Land recognized Director Mark Middlebrook “for outstanding leadership that has led to the conservation of more than 50,000 acres of parkland and open space through Preservation Project Jacksonville.”

2004

Preservation Project Jacksonville (PPJ) received the “Florida Preservation Award 2004” from the Florida Trust for Historic Preservation in recognition of outstanding achievement in the field of restoration/rehabilitation for the Ribault Clubhouse Jacksonville.

2003

Director Mark Middlebrook received the “Special Chairman’s Award 2003” from the Florida Wildlife Federation.

Director Mark Middlebrook received a Certificate of Appreciation in recognition of valuable contributions from Tree Hill, Inc. Jacksonville’s Nature Center.
