Which Parks & Online Resources

In 1999, Jacksonville’s national park, state park and city preservation park leaders entered a unique tri-agency cooperative agreement to cohesively manage their adjacent nature parks and preserves, making it as seamless as possible for visitors to enjoy these beautiful landscapes and cultural resources. That agreement is still in place today.

Preservation Project Jacksonville was also established then by Mayor Delaney to help acquire lands for preservation, and the organization became an independent nonprofit to support this parks partnership. Preservation Project Jacksonville, Inc. is now Timucuan Parks Foundation and we continue to inspire the community to care for and enjoy these expansive natural wonders, our "wilderness parks."
