This is a great opportunity for trying out recreational activities as well as learning from nature and community exhibitors.
The celebration features a kids fishing clinic presented by the National Park Service and Timucuan Parks Foundation. The Junior Ranger Angler program teaches kids how to tie flies and cast their line as well as the ethics of angling, local Gullah Geechee fishing heritage, and more. Hosted by the Friends of Talbot Islands State Parks, this event is being held on National Public Lands Day, a day of service and exploration of the outdoors.
