Join the 7 Creeks Partners for the Third Annual 7 Creeks Fest on Saturday, March 9

The 7 Creeks Recreation Area partners invite the community to join them for the third annual 7 Creeks Fest on Saturday, March 9. Timucuan Parks Foundation, the City of Jacksonville, Florida State Parks, the National Park Service, North Florida Land Trust, and Visit Jacksonville host the event which celebrates the collaboration of these park partners and the natural spaces within the 7 Creeks Recreation Area that are free for all to enjoy. The event is from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and includes family-friendly activities in multiple parks.

Sponsorship opportunities are available and range from the $1,000 Pine Uplands level to the $10,000 7 Creeks Presenting Sponsor. level. Support of the event contributes to the preservation of healthy natural environments, deepens the community’s connection to public lands, and makes it possible for the Fest’s educational and transformative engagement activities be available for all for free. The 7 Creeks Fest showcases the 7 Creeks Recreation Area through activities that are free and open to the public. There will be guided hikes, hands-on nature activities, a camping clinic, kayaking, canoeing and biking. A Junior Ranger Angler Fishing Clinic for youth ages 6 to 17 will be held (registration will be required and will open soon). The 7 Creeks Recreation Area is 5,600 acres of contiguous parklands in northeast Jacksonville linked by more than 30 miles of trails and waterways. It includes Betz-Tiger Point Preserve, Cedar Point Preserve, Cedar Point (NPS), Jim Wingate Preserve, Bogey Creek Preserve, Pescatello Island and Pumpkin Hill Creek Preserve State Park. The 7 Creeks Recreation was made possible by the partnership of park agencies and supportive nonprofits working together to expand access and recreational opportunities for park visitors.

Timucuan Parks Foundation is a nonprofit organization that preserves, promotes and enhances Jacksonville’s natural areas through community engagement, education and enjoyment. The foundation originated in 1999 with the Preservation Project Jacksonville, Inc. to identify and assist in acquiring the most vulnerable and environmentally sensitive lands in Duval County.
