For National Invasive Species Awareness Week, help rescue public parks and green spaces from invasive plants that tend to harm native species.
Join us at three locations:
- Theodore Roosevelt Area with the National Park Service – LOCATION HAS BEEN CHANGED TO THE RIBAULT COLUMN AT 13101 Fort Caroline Road
- Kathryn Abbey Hanna Park with JaxParks
- Cradle Creek Preserve with the City of Jacksonville Beach to remove Brazilian pepper. NOTE: due to the Brazilian pepper, volunteers need to be age 16 and up.
This event will take place at multiple parks and preserves around the Northeast Florida area. It’s a great opportunity to give back at a park near you or one you’ve never visited.
