Volunteers can join Timucuan Parks Foundation on Sept. 5 to clean up Exchange Club Island underneath the Matthews Bridge. Exchange Club Island is only accessible by water, and volunteers must RSVP to Felicia Boyd, [email protected], to arrange transport to the island. Volunteers will meet at Metropolitan Park to get to the island, which is about 34 acres and includes a boat dock, two picnic shelters, and a nature trail.
TPF asks that you wear clothes you don’t mind getting dirty and closed-toe shoes. A hat is highly recommended. Bring your work gloves (if you have them), sunscreen, insect repellent, and a full reusable water bottle. We will have work equipment, additional water, snacks, and extra insect repellent.
