Timucuan Parks Foundation Board passed a resolution advising Governor
Rick Scott and the Cabinet, the state’s Acquisition and Restoration Council and the St.
Johns River Water Management District that the more than 400 acres
proposed for development are still needed and essential for conservation and to deny
the developer’s request to obtain that property in exchange for land on Black Hammock
Island.
