Join this free expert-led bird hike through the Timucuan Preserve. Birding is a great way to explore the Timucuan Preserve. Birding 101 includes an overview of how to use binoculars, field guides, and various field marking to identify birds. The park has a limited supply of binoculars that can be borrowed free of charge. Participants are encouraged to bring water and to wear insect repellent, closed-toed shoes, sun screen, and a hat. People of all ages and skill levels are welcomed. All hikes meet at the Fort Caroline visitor center at 10:00 a.m. for registration (12713 Ft. Caroline Rd.). The Theodore Roosevelt Area is located next to park headquarters at 13165 Mt. Pleasant Rd. Enter at the driveway to right.
