April 26 @ 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm
Calling all nature enthusiasts! Join us at the Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens Education Campus to kick off City Nature Challenge as we document the biodiversity around the campus. TPF will be demonstrating how to use the iNaturalist.org app to identify plants and wildlife so you can share your findings with other nature-enthusiasts that also helps scientists!
Started in 2016 as a competition between Los Angeles and San Francisco, the City Nature Challenge (CNC) has grown into an annual, international, four-day global bioblitz at the end of April, where cities in a collaboration-meets-friendly-competition see what can be accomplished when we all work toward a common goal.
Here’s how you can participate:
- Download the iNaturalist app before you arrive.
- Join us at the bioblitz event on April 26.
- Snap photos in the app and share your findings with the world!
