Timucuan Parks Foundation, in partnership with AARP Jacksonville, is hosting monthly Wednesday walks in Jacksonville’s parks and preserves.
This year marks the 400th anniversary of the first enslaved Africans brought to the U.S. Join the National Park Service for a tour of the Planter’s House, the slave cabins, and the grounds of Kingsley Plantation to remember those enslaved here, honor their stories, recognize their hardships and celebrate their contributions.
Free and open to all but registration required. Registration link will be added when available.
