National Trails Day at Cedar Point Preserve (note change from Seaton Creek!)

Come celebrate National Trails Day at the most beautiful and pristine Cedar Point Preserve! You’re invited to join TPF, City of Jacksonville, and North Florida Trailblazers (chapter of Florida Trail Association) for trail clearing and a hike.

Originally scheduled for Seaton Creek Historic Preserve, the venue for this event had to be changed because of the abundance of yellow flies this time of year at Seaton Creek.  There are still some yellow flies at Cedar Point Preserve, so come prepared with a wide-brimmed hat and bug spray.  Please bring a full water bottle and loppers and/or clippers and work gloves if you have them, but we will have extras.  We will also provide water and Nature Valley granola bars.

Come ready to lop and chop, or just come for a walk through the beautiful preserve to the bridge connecting the city’s Cedar Point Preserve with the National Park Service’s Cedar Point.
