Join us for a “Leave It Better Than You Found It” hike on National Trails Day!
Enjoy a hike with Timucuan Parks Foundation along the Dune Ridge Trail, one of Florida’s premier nature trails at Little Talbot Island State Park. The trail meanders for two miles atop an ancient dune ridge under a canopy of live oaks, cedars and sabal palms in a lush maritime hammock and concludes with a two mile walk along Little Talbot Island’s picturesque beach. We will pick up litter on the beach on the second half of the walk.
Meet at Pavilion One on Little Talbot Island State Park at 8:30 a.m. Plan to arrive 30 minutes early to pay, park and prepare. Water, snacks, insect repellent, and layered clothing are recommended.
