SLAVE CABIN MAINTENANCE AND WEEDING
WHERE? Kingsley Plantation, 11676 Palmetto Ave, Jacksonville, FL 32226
WHEN? Saturday, April 14, 9 am to 12 noon
WHAT? Volunteers are needed to assist with removing vegetation around base of the historic slave cabins that threatens the foundations
WHAT TO WEAR/BRING? Wear closed-toed shoes and comfortable clothes that you don’t mind getting
dirty. We recommend that you bring sunscreen, bugspray, a hat, sunglasses and a water bottle.
WHAT WE PROVIDE? Work gloves, trash gloves, trash bags, insect spray, snacks, and water.
