KATHRYN ABBEY HANNA PARK
Right on the ocean, this 450-acre park has everything a family may be looking for. Plan a day to relax on the pristine beach or fish and canoe on the freshwater pond. A small splash park is available in the summer months. Hanna Park has over 20 miles of scenic trails that provide opportunities for hiking and biking, along the shorelines or within the mature coastal hammock with majestic oaks. The separate off-road single-track mountain bike trails are well-known in the biking community and range from easy (wide corridors, flat, fun for the entire family to enjoy) to difficult (often steep, including log crossings, for the hardcore mountain bikers). Cabin and tent camping are available. Wildlife includes shorebirds, wading birds, alligators, and foxes. Sea turtle nesting is May through October.
