Tell the ranger at the front gate that you are there to volunteer.
Meet and sign in at the lakefront parking lot (Turn right at the dirt road immediately after the ranger station. Drive to the end)
Free admission to Hanna Park for all volunteers.
WHAT
Invasive plant removal (lantana and kalanchoe), trail maintenance, and shoreline cleanup. Suitable for all ages. Children under 16 must be supervised by their parent/guardian or youth leader during the project. Anyone under 18 years old must have signature of parent/ guardian on the liability waiver and photo release prior to starting work. Waiver and photo release can be obtained in advance by clicking here.
WHAT TO WEAR/BRING
Wear closed-toed shoes and comfortable clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty. We recommend that you bring sunscreen, insect repellent, a hat, sunglasses and a full reuseable water bottle. Please bring loppers and/or clippers and work gloves if you have them.
WHAT WE PROVIDE
Work gloves, equipment and supplies, more insect repellent, Nature Valley granola bar snacks, and more water.
